Wanchai Computer Center

Above: Entrance to the Wan Chai Computer Shopping Center viewed from the footbridge leading to the MTR Wan Chai station.

The Wanchai Computer Center has two floors of practically nothing but shops selling computers, computer peripherals and supplies, digital consumer electronics, cell phones, etc.

Most of the shops are not chain stores but their prices are sometimes better than the chain stores. If you don't live in Hong Kong, just remember that you can't easily bring something back to get serviced once you leave! Personally I have had good experience in getting small items from the small shops in computer shopping centers in general, but have chosen to deal with chain stores when it comes to big purchases.

Just like most all the other computer shopping centers in Hong Kong, it is crowded especially during off-work hours.

Most shops seem to close around 7p.m. (2008.11.8)

It is located practically on top of the Wanchai MTR station.
