Sai Yeung Choi Street
Mongkok, Kowloon

Above: Neon signs above with crowds below on Sai Yeung Choi Street South in Mong Kok.

This stretch of Sai Yeung Choi Street in Mongkok has grown into the "grand central station" for consumer electronics shopping and the ultimate competition arena for neon signs.

You can find branches of all the consumer electronics chain stores here. More than that, some don't just have one, or two. One has 5 stores here! And they sell the same things.

A section of the street is closed off to motorized vehicles to accommodate the crowds. And of course that just encourages the growth of the latter.
